Automation

Set it once, never think about it again.

Card automations handle the busywork — assigning owners, setting deadlines, archiving done tasks, and keeping columns sorted — so your team can focus on shipping.

Auto-Assign & Reporter

Pick a default assignee or reporter per column. Tasks are assigned instantly on creation — or when dropped in.

Auto-Due-Date

Set a relative deadline (e.g. 3 days). Every new task gets a due date without anyone remembering to add one.

Auto-Archive

Completed tasks archive themselves after N days. Your Done column stays clean with zero manual cleanup.

Smart Sorting

Sort by priority, due date, creation date, or last edit — per column. High-priority items always float to the top.

Lists tell you what exists. Boards show you what's happening.AAgoodgoodboardboardisn'tisn'taalistlistrotatedrotated9090degrees.degrees.It'sIt'saavisualvisualcontractcontractbetweenbetweenyouryourteamteameveryoneeveryoneseesseeswhat'swhat'sblocked,blocked,what'swhat'sshipping,shipping,andandwho'swho'sstretchedstretchedthin.thin.NoNostatusstatusmeetingmeetingrequired.required.NoNooneoneneedsneedstotoaskaskforforananupdate.update.TheTheboardboardanswersanswersbeforebeforethethequestionquestionisisasked.asked.
Task cards

Everything a task needs, nothing it doesn't.

A task card isn't just a title. It's a spec, a thread, a handoff, and a source of truth — all in one place.

Rich task detail

Rich descriptions

Markdown, checklists, code blocks, embedded images. Write a real spec inside the task — not in a separate doc that gets lost.

GitHub and integrations

GitHub & Figma

Link pull requests, issues, and design files directly to the task. Status updates automatically as the PR merges.

Workflow Planner

Describe it. Build it.

Starting from scratch is the hardest part. Staring at an empty board is paralyzing. Type what you're building — is.team generates an entire board structure in seconds.

Columns with meaningful names — Backlog, In Progress, Review, Done — or fully custom to your workflow.
10–30 scoped tasks with real titles matched to your described project scope and team size.
Blockers marked high priority, nice-to-haves set low — priorities assigned automatically.
Feature, bug, chore, research — every task typed and categorized before you even open the board.

Workflow Planner is a starting point, not a finished plan. Spend 5 minutes editing instead of 2 hours planning from scratch. Prefer no AI? Pick one of 8 ready-made board templates when creating a new board.

Use cases.

Start with the Sprint Board template — Backlog, Sprint, In Review, and Done columns are ready in one click. Drag items in during planning, move them as the week progresses. Everyone sees the sprint state without a status meeting.

Kanban Boards in is.team

What Are Kanban Boards in is.team?

is.team's kanban boards follow the pull-based workflow methodology originally developed by Toyota in the 1950s, adapted for modern software and product teams. Each board lives on the infinite canvas and contains customizable columns (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Review, Done) with drag-and-drop task cards. Every card supports titles, descriptions with a rich-text editor, assignees, due dates, priority levels (low, medium, high), story points, labels with custom colors, subtasks with progress tracking, file attachments, threaded comments with @mentions, and time tracking entries. Boards include automation rules: auto-complete tasks when moved to a done column, auto-assign reporters, auto-set due dates, maximum work-in-progress limits per column, and apply-on-drop triggers for cross-column handoffs. All plans include unlimited tasks — is.team never limits the number of issues on any tier.

Board Views and Customization Options

Each kanban board in is.team offers multiple perspectives on the same data. The default board view shows columns with sortable task cards supporting 8 sorting modes. The timeline (Gantt) view displays tasks on a horizontal calendar with drag-to-reschedule and zoom levels for day, week, and month. Sprint view adds agile ceremony support with planning, active, and completed sprint phases, burndown charts, and velocity tracking. Analytics view provides charts for task distribution, completion rates, and team workload. Board settings include card color coding (16 preset colors), column width customization, board-level budgets in any currency, and visibility controls to restrict access to specific workspace members. Each board supports up to unlimited columns on paid plans, with the free plan offering 10 columns across 2 boards.
