Project management
shouldn't feel like a project.
We built is.team because every tool we tried either did too much or too little. There had to be a better way.
The problem
Small teams don't need enterprise workflow engines. They need a place to see what's happening, who's doing what, and what's next — all in one glance.
But most project management tools are built for companies with dedicated project managers, complex approval chains, and hundred-page playbooks. If you're a 3–10 person team, you spend more time configuring the tool than actually shipping.
Jira has 47 issue types. Notion requires a PhD in databases. Linear is beautiful but opinionated about how you should work. We wanted something different.
The idea
What if your project management tool worked like a whiteboard? Drop boards anywhere, connect them with lines, zoom out to see the big picture, zoom in to focus on a single task.
An infinite canvas where your entire project is visible at once — boards, notes, connections, all spatially organized the way your brain actually thinks about work.
No configuration wizards. No permission matrices. No "admin" certifications. Just open it and start working.
Built different
is.team is built by a small team, for small teams. We use it every day to build itself — dogfooding from day one.
We ship fast. AI is a core part of our development process, not just a feature checkbox. Every line of code, every design decision, every customer interaction is informed by what actually helps people get work done.
We don't build features to win comparison charts. We build features because we need them ourselves — and we think you will too.
What we believe
Simplicity over features
Every feature we add must earn its place. If it adds complexity without clear value, it doesn't ship.
Speed is a feature
Fast page loads, instant updates, real-time sync. We treat performance as a first-class requirement.
Small teams first
We design for teams of 2–15. Enterprise complexity is someone else's problem.
AI as a teammate
AI isn't a gimmick — it's built into the workflow. From meeting transcription to task automation via API.
