Daily Standup Reminders — is.team
What is Daily Planning in is.team?
Daily Planning in is.team is a per-board standup scheduling system. Board owners configure which weekdays, what time, and in which timezone the daily standup should occur. Five minutes before the scheduled time, a floating countdown banner appears on the dashboard with live MM:SS countdown and audio alerts every 30 seconds. When time is up, the banner turns green and team members can join the built-in voice room with one click. Notifications are sent through three channels: in-app bell notifications, personalized emails via Resend, and Slack messages to the workspace's connected channel. Each channel supports both 'on start' and 'before' (5/10/15/30 minutes) triggers. The system is timezone-aware, respects board visibility permissions, and deduplicates notifications to prevent spam.
How does it compare to calendar-based standups?
Unlike Google Calendar or Outlook recurring events, is.team's Daily Planning is deeply integrated with the project management tool itself. There's no need to create calendar invites, share Zoom links, or switch between apps. The countdown appears directly in the workspace where your tasks live. Voice rooms are built-in — no third-party meeting tool required. Notifications go through Slack and email in addition to in-app, so team members are reached wherever they are. The timezone-aware scheduling means distributed teams see reminders at the correct local time, and the per-board configuration lets different teams have different standup schedules within the same workspace.
