AI Workflow Planner
AI Workflow Planner

AI Workflow Planner

Describe your project in plain text and let AI generate the entire board structure — columns, tasks, types, priorities, and assignees — all placed on your canvas in one click.

Warning

AI Workflow Planner is available on Pro and Max plans only.

Access

Open the bottom toolbar on your canvas and click the AI Workflow button (sparkle icon). This opens the workflow planner dialog where you can describe your project or pick a template.

Quick Templates

Start fast with one of the built-in templates. Each template provides a pre-written project description tuned for a common scenario.

Sprint Planning

Two-week sprint with backlog grooming, daily standups, and review tasks.

Product Launch

End-to-end launch checklist covering development, QA, marketing, and support.

Bug Triage

Incoming bug pipeline with severity classification and fix tracking.

Feature Development

Full feature lifecycle from research and design through implementation and release.

Custom Description

Prefer something specific? Write your own project description in natural language. Be as detailed or brief as you like — the AI adapts to whatever you provide. For example: "E-commerce app with user auth, product catalog, shopping cart, and payment integration. Two developers and one designer."

Team Members

Optionally add team member names and roles before generating. The AI uses this information to auto-assign tasks to the right people based on their role — for example, design tasks go to the designer, backend tasks to the backend developer.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Describe your project

Choose a quick template or write a custom description of what you want to build.

  2. 2

    Add team members (optional)

Enter team member names and roles so the AI can assign tasks automatically.

  3. 3

    Generate

Press ⌘Enter or click Generate. The AI creates a complete project structure.

  4. 4

    Preview the result

Review the generated boards, columns, and tasks. Each task includes a type, priority, and assignee.

  5. 5

    Apply to Canvas

Click Apply to Canvas. All boards and tasks are created at once and placed on the canvas with a non-overlapping layout.

Preview

Before applying, you see a full preview of the generated structure: board names, column layout, and individual tasks with their types, priorities, and assignees. You can review everything before committing to the canvas.

Batch Creation

When you apply the workflow, all boards and tasks are created in a single batch operation via the /api/board/node/batch endpoint. This ensures everything appears on your canvas at once, with no partial states.

Tip

Include team member names and roles for smarter task assignment.
