Navigation & Zoom
The infinite canvas gives you unlimited space. Here is how to move around, zoom in and out, select items, and keep your bearings.
Panning
Panning moves your viewport across the canvas without affecting any items.
Click and drag on empty area
Click any empty spot on the canvas and drag to pan in any direction.
Space + drag
Hold Space and drag anywhere — even over items — to pan without accidentally moving boards or notes.
Zooming
Zoom in to focus on details or zoom out for a bird's-eye view of your entire workspace.
Scroll wheel
Scroll up to zoom in, scroll down to zoom out. The zoom centers on your cursor position.
Pinch gesture
On a trackpad or touch device, pinch to zoom in and spread to zoom out.
Keyboard shortcuts
Press ⌘+ to zoom in and ⌘- to zoom out.
Zoom buttons
Use the - and + buttons in the bottom-right HUD to adjust zoom level.
Fit to View
Lost on the canvas? Quickly fit all items into your viewport.
Fit all nodes
Press ⌘J or Shift+0 to automatically zoom and pan so that every board and note fits within the visible area.
Selection
Selecting items lets you move, resize, or delete them.
Click to select
Single-click on a board or note to select it. The selected item shows resize handles and comes to the front.
Click empty area to deselect
Click any empty spot on the canvas to deselect the current selection.
Dragging Items
Reposition boards and notes by dragging them to a new location on the canvas.
Drag to reposition
Click and drag a board or note's header area to move it anywhere on the canvas. The new position is saved automatically and synced to all team members in real time.
Viewport Tips
A few handy tricks to stay oriented on a large canvas.
Zoom level indicator
The bottom-right HUD shows your current zoom percentage. Click it to reset to 100%.
Dotted grid
The background grid helps you visually gauge distances and keep items aligned.
Tip
Hold Space and drag to pan without accidentally moving items. This is especially useful when your canvas is densely populated.
