Task Details
Click any task to open its detail modal. This is where you write descriptions, leave comments, manage metadata, and connect external tools — all in one place.
Modal Layout
The task modal is split into two panels that give you everything at a glance.
Left Panel
Title, rich text description (TipTap editor), and a chronological comments/activity feed.
Right Panel (Aside)
Quick-access metadata: type, priority, assignee, labels, story points, dates, color, parent task, and subtasks.
Aside Fields
The right panel contains all task metadata. Each field updates in real-time.
Type
Bug, Feature, Task, or Story. Displayed as a colored icon.
Priority
Low, Medium, or High. Shown as a flag with matching color.
Assignee
Select a workspace member to own this task.
Labels
Add colored labels for categorization (e.g. 'frontend', 'urgent').
Story Points
Estimate effort with numeric story points.
Start & Due Dates
Set a date range to track deadlines.
Color
Pick a card color for quick visual identification on the board.
Parent Task
Nest this task under another to create a hierarchy.
Subtasks
Break work into smaller pieces. Track progress with a completion bar.
Subscribers
Toggle the subscribe button to receive notifications for this task. Subscribers are notified about comments, status changes, and assignment updates. The task creator and assignee are subscribed automatically.
File Attachments
Drag and drop files onto the task modal or use the file picker to attach documents, images, and other files. Attachments are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage and are accessible to all workspace members with the appropriate permissions.
Linked Integrations
Connect external tools directly to individual tasks for a unified view.
GitHub
Link pull requests and issues. State badges (open, closed, merged) update automatically via webhooks.
Google Drive
Search and attach Drive files. Preview documents inline without leaving is.team.
Figma
Paste a Figma URL to fetch design details. Attached designs include an embedded preview.
Completing Tasks
Mark a task as done using the complete button in the modal header. Completed tasks remain visible but are visually dimmed. You can also configure a task to auto-complete when all of its subtasks are finished.
Tip
Press ⌘Enter to save the description and close the editor. Use Escape to close the task modal.
